ENGINEERINGNET.EU -- During A two-day visit to Armenia, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano met the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edward Nalbandian.
During the meeting, the Armenian officials also described plans to construct a new nuclear power plant.
The Director General also discussed the IAEA's technical support to strengthen nuclear safety at Armenia's currently operating nuclear power plant and to expand Armenia's national capacity to train skilled personnel.
