ENGINEERINGNET.EU -- The Luxembourg based cleantech company Epuramat has been selected as a winner of TiE Silicon Valley’s TiE50 Award 2012.

The TiE50 expert committee selected the 50 most emerging companies from a pool of more than 2,100 promising startups from the categories cleantech and energy, software, internet, mobile and life sciences.

This year’s 4th annual awards program evaluated the winners on three criteria: business model, intellectual property value and leadership team.

The judges are among the most experienced industry experts, CEOs and serial entrepreneurs with specific domain expertise and worked independently in their selection process.

“Being recognized as one of the winners in 2012 is a great success," said Epuramat CEO Bogdan Serban. "Within the last two years we have been able to successfully establish our containerized wastewater treatment system on the market of decentralized wastewater treatment solutions.”

TiE is a not-for-profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals, founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley. Sponsored by top Venture Capital firms and Fortune 500 corporations, TIE’s network has grown across 56 chapters in 13 countries. TiE stands for talent, ideas and enterprise.

The network seeks to cultivate and nurture the ecosystem of entrepreneurship and free-market economies worldwide.
