ENGINEERINGNET.EU -- Industrial gear unit specialist Hansen Industrial Transmissions, acquired by Sumitomo Heavy Industries in March 2011, confirms that its Antwerp assembly plant was chosen to integrate the production and service of the Paramax gearboxes for the EMEA region.

"Merely one year after the acquisition by SHI, the global integration of Hansen Industrial Transmissions into Sumitomo is still ongoing in most parts of the world but has been finalized in Europe already to serve the EMEA region," states Hansen in an official press release.

The EMEA sales and service platform was shaped in cooperation with Sumitomo Cyclo Germany group, SHI's Power Transmission and Control division in Europe.
