ENGINEERINGNET.EU -- KSB has acquired an eighty percent share in Copenhagen-based T. Smedegaard, a manufacturer with a workforce of around 80, specializing in circulating pump for heating systems.
Smedegaard has two production sites, one in Denmark and one in Switzerland, as well as business locations in the United Kingdom and Sweden.
"The take-over aims at securing our building services project business in the areas of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning,” Dr Wolfgang Schmitt, Chairman of the Board of Management explains.
The acquisition gives KSB access to a technology thanks to which the circulating pumps will be able to meet increasing energy efficiency requirements.
