ENGINEERINGNET.EU -- Arup is the creative force at the heart of many of the world's most prominent projects in the built environment and across industry, such as 'The Gherkin' in London, the Oresund Link joining Sweden and Denmark, Toronto Pearson International Airport and the Letsibogo Dam in Botswana.

Julian Dawson, Senior Librarian & Information Systems Manager: "But we were missing an online resource that had both engineering and specific technical information rather than just being limited to regulatory guidance and standards."

The engineering and design company was therefore looking for a solution to give its engineers, working on a diverse range of complex projects, access to the same validated content.

The company finally adopted the Knovel software. This is a Web-based application integrating technical information with analytical and search tools to drive innovation and deliver answers engineers can trust. "Users include thousands of engineers and applied scientists worldwide," states Knovel.

Gary Kearns, Knovel's EMEA Managing Director said: "Engineers working in the Engineering Design and Construction market must ramp up on topics quickly as they take on new projects and face aggressive timelines. When engineers seek answers to technical questions, they need convenient access to consistent and credible information.
